Riazor Orzán.

Riazor Orzán is a city beachbreak curving through the heart of A Coruña, backed by the urban promenade and fully exposed to Atlantic NW and N swells from the Bay of Biscay. The break runs as shifting a-frame peaks across two adjacent beaches that surf as a single continuous stretch. Waves are steep and medium-paced, producing punchy walls that reward quick rail-to-rail surfing. The break performs at low to rising tide when sand banks are exposed and waves stand up with more shape; mid and high tide tends to flatten things out. Best window is 0.9 to 1.8m of NW or N groundswell with a SW offshore wind, conditions that arrive regularly from autumn through spring. Summer brings smaller, patchier surf and the beach fills with swimmers. The city location guarantees crowds year-round: residents, surf-school students and visiting intermediates all share the lineup. Facilities are solid, with showers, restrooms, lifeguards and a surf shop on or near the seafront. Stormwater and residential runoff can degrade water quality after prolonged rain.
