Terms of Use

Lineup is an online platform available at lineup-experience.com providing surf spot discovery, real-time surf forecasts, personalized surf recommendations, session logging, and AI-powered coaching. The service may be modified, updated, or interrupted at any time as features evolve.

By accessing or using Lineup, users agree to these Terms of Use. If a user does not agree, they must stop using the service.

Access requires an internet connection and a compatible device. The service is provided "as is," with no guarantee of accuracy, continuity, or availability.

Authentication is managed through BetterAuth and Supabase. Users are responsible for the confidentiality of their login credentials and for all activity occurring under their account.

Lineup offers a free tier and a paid subscription ("Coaching Pro"). The free tier includes the daily surf report, session logging, spot forecasts, and favorite spots. Coaching Pro adds weekly coaching objectives, post-session AI debrief, progress tracking, Coach's Pick on the surf report, and coaching push notifications.

Coaching Pro is available as a monthly subscription (€6.99/month) or an annual subscription (€49.99/year). A 14-day free trial is available; a credit card is required upfront but will not be charged until the trial ends. Users may cancel anytime during the trial period.

All billing, payment processing, and refunds are handled by LemonSqueezy, acting as Merchant of Record. LemonSqueezy's terms of service apply to all payment-related matters, including disputes and refund requests.

Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. Cancellation can be done at any time from the account settings and takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial billing periods.

Lineup reserves the right to change subscription pricing. Users will be notified at least 30 days in advance of any price change. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

Lineup uses artificial intelligence to generate coaching objectives, session debriefs, spot FAQs, and other recommendations. This AI-generated content is provided for informational and coaching purposes only and does not constitute professional advice.

Lineup does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated content. Users should exercise their own judgment and verify information independently before acting on it.

AI-generated coaching content is not a substitute for professional surf instruction. Users seeking professional guidance should consult a qualified surf instructor.

Users may submit data including surf sessions, notes, and photos. Users must only upload content they own and must not publish illegal, offensive, or infringing material. Lineup may remove content that violates these rules.

Photos uploaded by users are stored in Supabase Storage. Users retain full ownership of their content.

By uploading content to the platform, users grant Lineup a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, host, and distribute the content solely within the service for the purpose of operating and improving Lineup.

All content provided by Lineup (text, data, design, branding) is protected by intellectual property laws. Users may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute any part of the service without prior written authorization.

Surfing is an activity that involves inherent risks. Lineup provides no guarantee regarding wave behavior, safety, conditions, or accuracy of recommendations. Users remain fully responsible for their decisions and for verifying local conditions.

Surf forecasts and spot recommendations are provided for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for decisions related to personal safety.

AI-powered coaching features are not a substitute for professional surf instruction. Users should not rely on AI coaching as their sole source of guidance, particularly beginners or users unfamiliar with local conditions.

Lineup disclaims all liability for injuries, losses, damages, or misuse of the information provided, including but not limited to AI-generated content, forecasts, and recommendations.

Users agree not to:

• attempt to interfere with the platform or its infrastructure
• extract or scrape data without authorization
• misuse the matching rating for commercial or misleading purposes

Lineup may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature without notice. Users will not be entitled to compensation.

These Terms are governed by French law. Any disputes fall under the jurisdiction of French courts.
