Pantin is a high-performance sand beachbreak sitting at the northern tip of Galicia, shaped by the full force of Atlantic swells sweeping in from the W-NW. The beach offers multiple a-frame peaks along its length, producing both lefts and rights that can line up into hollow, fast-moving walls over a shallow sand bottom. Barrel sections are a regular feature rather than a bonus - wedging peaks and quick takeoffs are the norm, particularly at low to mid tide when the sand pitches more steeply. The spot holds swell well and can handle genuine size in the 1-3m range before conditions get difficult. Pantin is Galicia's most recognisable surf address, best known as the venue for the annual Pantin Classic, a long-running WSL QS event that has drawn elite surfers to this stretch of coast for decades. Access is straightforward via the beach car park on the hill above, with a free camping area popular with travelling surfers. The main paddling channel at the northern end of the beach offers the clearest entry route.
