La Izquierda breaks over an uneven reef just west of La Derecha - The Bubble, offering long left-hand walls with fuller, more moderate sections than its explosive neighbour. The wave backs off predictably across a medium pace, giving surfers room to work the face through turns and occasional hollow sections without the intensity of the break next door. Rides regularly reach 100-200m on a good swell, making it one of the longer walls on the north coast. It fires best on NE swells but the orientation and reef shape allow it to pick up almost any north-facing groundswell, including E swells that most other spots around the island miss. Some E wind is manageable here, and the offshore is SE - a direction that arrives reliably when the trade winds organise. The wave handles a wide size range, from small fun days up to solid 3m surf, covering all tides without a dramatic change in character, though incoming tide tends to push the walls a touch fuller. Entry is directly from the rocky shoreline shared with the other breaks in this cluster.
