Derecha de los Alemanes sits on the exposed north coast of Fuerteventura near the small settlement of Majanicho, delivering right-hand walls over an uneven submerged reef in the medium-speed range. The wave breaks deep with plenty of water over it, producing workable performance sections rather than slab-style tube rides - barrel sections appear occasionally but the predominant offer is long, open-faced walls running 100 to 200 metres that let surfers string together multiple manoeuvres before the wave shoulders off. Its unusual swell window is one of its defining traits: unlike most north coast reefs that need a tight NW window, this spot can intercept swells from a wide SW-to-E arc, giving it genuine all-season relevance when stiffer reefs nearby are asleep. Size range is broad, from around 0.6m on the smaller end up to 3.7m on a proper swell pulse. Paddle-out departs from a small sandy bay; the crossing is long but manageable in most conditions.
