El Muelle - known locally as Harbour Wall - is a left-hand point-reef setup at the southern edge of Corralejo that wraps fast, hollow sections across an uneven reef bottom before funneling toward the harbour wall. Waves in the 1.8-5.5m range peel for up to 500m when a solid NW swell lines up properly, with the freight-train speed and hollow shape rewarding committed, late drops. The takeoff zone is critical: the reef is shallow and irregular, sections accelerate quickly, and the wrapping swell can shift the peak without warning on different swells. Optimal conditions arrive on a big NW swell dropping toward low tide - the reef shallows dangerously at high, turning what was manageable into a serious wipeout scenario. The break sits directly in front of Corralejo town, overlooked by restaurants and a resident surf school, which keeps the crowd count high when conditions align. Nearby Bristol, a bay-protected reef 1km northwest, offers an alternative when El Muelle is too big or too exposed.
