Bowly, wedging rights and peeling lefts break in the 0.9 to 3.7 metre range. The right-hander is the signature ride: a fast, hollow tube demanding an immediate air-drop commitment off the peak, with dry-suck sections over the shallowest reef. NE swell is optimal and a southerly wind cleans up the face. Mid to high tide is mandatory to keep the reef covered and allow the barrel to run cleanly. Competitions have been held here for decades, cementing a fierce local crew who control the peak from first light. Dawn patrol is the realistic window for visiting surfers.
