Surf spot guide Β· Algarve, Portugal
Exposed Tavira beachbreak offering short, fast lefts and rights when sandbanks align.
Ilha de Tavira is an exposed, inconsistent sand-bottom beachbreak at the eastern end of Tavira Island. It produces short lefts and rights, with rides generally under 50 metres. Southeast swell and northwest offshore wind offer the most favorable setup, while suitable sandbanks can make the waves fast and fun. Manageable small surf can suit beginners, although conditions remain variable and boat access is required.
