Atlantic-facing sand beach break with lefts and rights on Culatra Island.
Ilha da Culatra is an Atlantic-facing, sand-bottom beach break with waves breaking both left and right. It begins working around 1-1.5 metres and is suitable for surfers of all levels. South swells and north winds provide the preferred setup, with rising tide conditions favoured. The main surf season is October through April. Access requires a boat from Olhão, followed by an approximately ten-minute walk across the island from the Culatra landing.
