Falesia is a breakwater-generated left at the Vilamoura end of Praia da Falésia. Swell refracts around the harbour breakwater into a wedgy, fast wave that can barrel. The sandy bottom becomes shallow, making the break best suited to intermediate and advanced surfers. It typically works from 3-8 feet, with the strongest season from October through May and peak winter conditions from December to February. The lineup can become crowded and competitive when the wave is good.
