Surf spot guide Β· Algarve, Portugal
Exposed sandy beachbreak at Praia do GarrΓ£o Nascente, offering uncrowded lefts and rights near Juliaβs bar.
Julias is the surf-guide name for the beachbreak at Praia do GarrΓ£o Nascente near Juliaβs bar. It is an exposed sandy beachbreak with lefts and rights, a main peak left of the bar, and paddle channels on either side. Rides are normally under 50 metres, extending to roughly 50-150 metres on better days. The break works with windswells and groundswells, favouring Southwest swell and Northeast offshore winds, with all tide stages usable. Winter provides the most consistent clean conditions, although the surf is often small and can suit beginners and groms.
