Yeh Leh.

Yeh Leh, known to most surfers as Truck Stops, sits midway between Medewi and Balian on Bali's west coast, breaking in front of Pantai Yeh Leh on the Denpasar to Gilimanuk highway. The name comes from the roadside rest stop where drivers hauling provisions from Java pull over, and there is still a warung and a viewpoint above the beach to check the surf from. The wave breaks both ways over sand and rock: the left is the longer of the two and offers a soft, open face made for cutbacks, while the right is shorter and depends on how the banks have formed. This is not a wave for a pumping swell. It does not hold size and is best treated as an overflow option for small days, when Balian is crowded or Medewi is too small to break properly. It is strictly a high tide spot, because you need the water covering the sharp rocks on the inside, and low tide access is genuinely dangerous. The wind is exposed here and the south east trade blows sideshore, so mornings are the only reliable clean window. Sharks are listed as a hazard on this stretch of coast. Crowds are close to nonexistent, which is the real reason to come.
