Old Man’s is a user-friendly reef break at Batu Bolong Beach in Canggu, offering slow, forgiving lefts and rights. The wave is generally best for beginners and improving surfers, although experienced riders may enjoy longer rides on a clean swell. It handles smaller southwest swells and is most dependable around rising to high tide, when the inside section has more water over the reef. Dry-season easterly winds usually provide the cleanest conditions. The surrounding beach clubs, surf schools, and restaurants make this one of Bali’s most accessible and social surf spots.
