Legian Beach is a popular, sandy beach break in Bali with consistent waves for all levels and easy access.
Legian Beach offers long sandy shores with multiple peaks, making it ideal for beginners and intermediates. The waves break over a sand bottom and can range from waist-high to well overhead, providing both left and right peaks, especially during higher tides. The beach features multiple access points and is known for its lively tourist atmosphere. Surf schools and board rentals are abundant directly on the sand. Conditions are best during the dry season when offshore winds blow from the southeast to northeast. The spot is busiest in the dry season, with crowds peaking in the mornings and late afternoons, and is easily accessible from several streets in Legian and Seminyak. Lifeguards are present, but strong rips can occur, especially at mid to low tide. The vibrant beach scene also means plenty of amenities nearby.
