Located near Ngurah Rai International Airport, Airport Rights is a world-class right-hand reef break on the southern side of the airport runway, wrapping into Jimbaran beach in Bali. It offers long, fast walls perfect for advanced maneuvers and barrels on a solid swell, but the wave only comes alive with a rare combination of a large southwest to west swell, high tide, and northeast winds. The spot works best during the dry season with these specific conditions. Access is typically by boat from Jimbaran or Kuta, as paddling out is possible but challenging due to distance, strong currents, and sharp shallow coral reef. This reef break demands caution, especially at lower tides, and is suitable only for experienced surfers. Crowds and localism can be significant, particularly during peak season and favorable conditions.
