Playa de Robayero is a lefthand rivermouth beachbreak where the Rio Pas drains into the Cantabrian Sea at the edge of the Dunas de Liencres nature reserve. Best form appears as the tide drops from mid toward low: the outgoing river flow sculpts a fast, hollow wall with a near-vertical takeoff and rides running 100 to 200 metres. West through northwest swell wraps into the rivermouth angle to deliver the most consistent banks. The wave produces hollow, steep sections with occasional barrel opportunities in the mid-section. Wave size runs 0.6 to 2.4 metres, most productive during autumn and winter Atlantic swells. Any southerly wind turns offshore. Access is through the Dunas de Liencres reserve: a long dune walk from the main car park, or a shorter approach from the west bank of the river mouth. Estuary pollution is a documented concern. Free parking and a camping area are available at the reserve entrance.

Main access via the Dunas de Liencres nature reserve car park (free, with camping). Walk south through the dune path to reach the rivermouth. Alternatively approach from the west bank of the Rio Pas for a shorter route.
