Meron.

Meron is a sandy beachbreak sitting just outside the popular resort town of San Vicente de la Barquera, delivering consistent left and right peaks across a wide stretch of open coast. The wave breaks over a sand bottom with a well-covered, medium-paced character that rewards progressive surfing rather than pure power: walls are steep enough to hold a solid carve but rarely throw into proper barrels. Multiple peaks spread across the beach at once, and the western rivermouth section stands apart from the main banks - the estuary mouth concentrates sandbar energy, producing tighter, more organised peaks while also offering better shelter when westerly winds turn cross-shore on the exposed central beach. The break fires reliably on W to NW swells from 0.6m upward, with NW the optimal angle to maximise size along this north-facing bay. A southerly offshore polishes the faces cleanly, and the all-tides window keeps sessions possible throughout the day, though incoming tide tends to sharpen the walls.
