Long right point under the Trafalgar Lighthouse, breaking over a shallow ledge in Los Caños bay - a longboarder favourite on SW-NW swells.
Faro Right unspools along the southern edge of Los Caños bay, directly below the Trafalgar Lighthouse, where a submerged rock ledge peels off a series of sections that can run for 200-500m on a solid swell. The wave is slopey and well-covered rather than hollow, generating long, workable walls that reward drawn-out carves more than vertical attack. Closer to the ledge at the top of the point the face steepens and the takeoff grows more consequential, but the bulk of the ride plays out as an easygoing shoulder built for cross-stepping and nose rides. Best conditions arrive on a 1m-plus SW to NW groundswell with a northerly wind keeping the faces clean. Low to rising tide holds the shape longest, with mid-tide tending to flatten the sections. Entry is either via the rocks at the top of the point or a longer paddle from the beach. Urchins cover the intertidal zone along the point, so rubber footwear is not optional. The spot draws regular crowds given its consistency relative to the raw exposed coast further west - expect company on any clean overhead day. The broader bay produces occasional note in local surf circles as part of the Costa de la Luz stretch between El Palmar and Barbate, where nearby Los Caños offers a quality left on the opposite side of the same bay when N winds switch direction.

Often crowded, particularly on weekend swells when surfers from Barbate and Cadiz fill the point. The spot attracts longboarders and intermediates who value the easy shoulder, so numbers can be high even in mid-range surf.
