Cabo Roche is a sand-bottom beachbreak sheltered by the cliffs of Urbanizacion Roche on Andalucia's Costa de la Luz. It draws from a wide swell window south through northwest, with SW the optimal angle for the fast, hollow peaks it is known for. Waves pitch vertically on takeoff and run through barrel sections rewarding committed intermediates. Multiple shifting peaks spread along the beach give options when the main takeoff fills up. The cliff backdrop is a genuine asset - strong easterly levante winds, the area's dominant offshore, clean and hold the lip rather than scour the shape flat. The takeoff zone is well covered with good depth, producing a steep drop into a short punchy wall. Low to incoming tide is the window; higher water closes out the banks. Localism from Chiclana regulars is present on the main peak, but peaks further up the beach absorb overflow. Access is through the Urb Roche residential streets with road-side parking along Calle Francia.

Enter via Urbanizacion Roche and head for Calle Francia. Road-side parking is available but restricted in places near the private villas - be polite and avoid blocking driveways. No car park, lifeguard, restrooms, showers, surf school or surf shop on site.
