Supertubos throws some of the most powerful sand-bottom barrels in Europe. Peaks shift along the beach but converge on a main takeoff zone where the combination of a steep, hollow face and freight-train speed has drawn comparisons to Pipeline. Lefts are generally the standout direction, offering longer, thicker tubes, while rights off the main peak are shorter and particularly sharp in NW swell windows. The wave works across all tides, though incoming tide tends to sharpen the shape. SW is the optimal swell angle; NW swells produce a punchier, more sectiony version. Consistent NE offshores are essential to groom the face. The break hosts a CT event annually, cementing its status as the benchmark beach break on the Iberian coast. Entry is straightforward - walk from the car park directly in front of the break. The channel is not always obvious, so observe the rip patterns before committing. A handful of secondary peaks further up the beach offer a small release valve from the main crowd, but dilution is relative - this beach operates at capacity on any surfable swell. Localism runs deep among the core tube-riders who treat the main peak as their home office.
