Sheltered, mellow beach break with forgiving lefts and shorter rights beside Baleal Island.
Prainha is a sheltered sandy beach break on Baleal’s north side, with multiple peaks offering both lefts and rights. Lefts generally run longer, while rights are shorter and more compact. Baleal Island reduces exposure to larger swell and wind, making the wave small, gentle and forgiving. The central beach has some stones or a pointed rock, so the bottom is not uniformly sandy. It is mainly a beginner and surf-school break, while intermediates can use the more open sandy section away from the sheltered corner.

The lineup is heavily used by surf schools and beginner groups, especially around midday and during summer. Parking also becomes busy at these times.
