Cerro is a sandy beachbreak at Praia do Cerro in Peniche’s north bay, offering both lefts and rights. Waves are generally gentle and fun, with short rides and occasional longer lines when sandbanks align. It suits beginners and intermediates, especially in waist- to head-high surf, and can work from below one metre to roughly 2.5 metres. Northwest swell and easterly winds are preferred, while the break is surfable year-round.
