Fast, hollow Galician beachbreak tucked below the coast road, with a reef-anchored left at its western end.
Reinante is a sand-bottom beachbreak on the Galician coast between the larger San Cosme stretch to the west and the cliffs of Playa de las Catedrales to the east. Fast, hollow peaks demand vertical takeoffs: steep, hollow faces with welling-up energy rather than fat or sloppy sections. Wave lengths run 50 to 100 metres. The optimal swell window is NW through NE in the 1m to 2.4m range; smaller W swell bypasses the tucked-in bay, keeping consistency moderate. Southwest winds are offshore and the best protection angle. A reef at the western end produces a defined lefthander on the right swell, while sand peaks offer multiple options along the main stretch. The coast road sits above the beach for easy wave-checking. Facilities are strong: free parking, showers, lifeguard and camping nearby. Crowds are minimal as most travellers head to the longer San Cosme banks.
