Otur.

Otur is a sand-bottom beachbreak on the western Asturian coast, throwing up shifting peaks that funnel lefts and rights across a 50-100m window. The wave is well-covered and works across all tides, but tightens and gets noticeably hollower as it drops to low, producing steeper takeoffs and barrel sections on a solid NW swell. A W-to-N swell window feeds the banks most reliably, with a southerly offshore cleaning the faces. The western end draws some shelter from SW and W winds, making Otur viable when other coast breaks are getting beaten up. Wave height runs 0.9 to 2.4m on a good swell, with medium pace and vertical takeoffs. The beach is backed by dunes and a valley, with chalets and a summer bar on the sand. Free parking and a summer lifeguard are the main services. Crowds rarely build here - this is a quiet stretch of coast - though surfers chasing the same small-swell option will find company. Neighbouring Frejulfe, 6.6km west, offers higher quality banks when you need an upgrade.
