Brazomar.

Brazomar is a compact sand-bottom beachbreak tucked inside the bay at Castro Urdiales, an old fishing port on the eastern edge of Cantabria. The wave is well-covered and medium-paced, producing sloping, forgiving peaks rather than anything hollow or critical - a typical resort beachbreak suited to progressing intermediates rather than experienced surfers chasing performance sections. It breaks across all tides with no strong preference, and the short wave length of under 50 metres means rides are brief but accessible. The break fires most readily on N swells, which wrap into the bay with enough energy to form usable peaks, while NW and NE groundswells also activate the banks. The sheltered aspect makes it valuable precisely when the Cantabrian coast is taking a hammering - solid W and NW winds push heavy swell into nearby open-beach spots, but Brazomar stays workable. The surrounding town is a busy summer resort, filling the beach with swimmers and non-surfers from June through August.
