Torre is a small, sheltered sand-bottom beachbreak beside São Julião da Barra fortress and Oeiras marina. A right breaks beside the western rocks, while shifting sandbanks can produce central lefts and rights. It needs substantial swell and is most reliable from October through March, with summer often flat. North winds and southwest swells are preferred, while low tide is the most consistently supported option. The beach suits beginners and intermediates in ordinary conditions, although exceptional winter surf can become powerful and crowded.
