Paço D'Arcos is a sheltered, inconsistent point break at Praia de Paço de Arcos. The principal wave breaks over submerged western rocks and produces mainly short lefts when southwest swell wraps in. It handles both groundswell and windswell, with a working surf range of roughly 3-6 ft. North-northwest winds are the preferred offshore, while winter, especially December, is the most reliable season and summer is often flat. The western point is better suited to intermediate surfers, while sandy central and eastern sections are safer for less experienced riders.
