Pasir Tinggi sits in one of two turquoise bays on Simeulue's coast, where a left reef break offers genuine range across ability levels. The main takeoff launches off an uneven reef shelf, producing a steep, fast barrel section on the outside before the wave backs off into deeper water and rolls through forgiving walls on the inside. A secondary A-frame peak breaks just off the main reef, adding variety to the lineup. The inside section runs over sand, making it manageable for beginners who stick to the whitewater and smaller reform waves. Swell out of the S to SW lights the spot up best, with the optimal direction being pure SW. Outgoing tide tends to improve shape. The right-hand wave in the bay has been compromised by harbour construction nearby, limiting it to a narrow SW swell window. Two postcard bays sit side by side here, with the southwestern bay holding the better wave. Crowd pressure is minimal given Simeulue's remoteness, though the wave's versatility and beginner-friendly inside make it a natural gathering point for visiting surf charters working the island.
