A right-hand reef break peeling over dead coral in Teluk Latiung bay on Simeulue's south coast. The wave needs a precise SW swell angle to work properly, as a rock near the inside section will shut down the ride if the swell direction is off. When the angle lines up, it delivers hollow, bowly walls with barrel sections along a 50-100m ride. The takeoff is vertical and the wave runs fast, rewarding committed surfers who sit in the right spot. Also known locally as One Tree after a distinctive single-tree rock outcrop near the break. The wave wraps into the bay and needs a bit of size to turn on, ideally in the 1-3m range with clean northerly winds. Higher tides are essential to keep enough water over the shallow coral, and incoming tide tends to smooth things out. Access requires parking at the small Teluk Latiung boat harbour and paddling roughly 300m to reach the peak, which effectively keeps the crowd at near zero. A left also breaks on the opposite side of the bay and benefits from E-SE wind protection, offering a backup option when conditions shift. The remote location and specific swell requirements mean this wave rarely gets surfed, making it a genuine empty-lineup find for those exploring Simeulue's east coast.
