A southeast-facing reef peak sitting in a protected corner of Simeulue, Guillotine splits into a left and a right over dead coral. The left runs toward a deep channel, offering a safer exit and performance walls with hollow sections. The right delivers a more intense barrel but terminates abruptly on shallow reef, demanding a well-timed pullout before the end section. The wave needs substantial SW swell to wrap around the island and reach the lineup, which keeps it dormant for long stretches. When it finally turns on, the takeoff is vertical with boils rising off the reef, and deceptively large cleanup sets roll through with little warning. Primarily accessed by boat from the harbour at Labuhan Bakti, though a creek paddle from the harbour provides a land-based alternative. The outgoing tide tends to produce the best shape. Crowd pressure stays moderate given the fickle nature of the swell window, but visiting boats can stack numbers quickly when conditions align. The remote location and inconsistent swell keep the lineup filtered to those willing to wait it out.
