Seger Reef (Pantai Seger) is an exposed surf spot just east of Kuta Lombok, easily accessible from the beach with a friendly atmosphere and a quick paddle-out. It features a main right-hand wave that is steep, fast, and can offer short barrel sections on the inside, making it more consistent and better shaped, especially at mid tide. On the opposite side of the peak, there’s also a left-hander that is slower, more mellow, and more forgiving for less experienced surfers, though the right remains the more reliable and frequently surfed wave. Seger is a swell magnet known for its consistency, often breaking when other nearby spots have no waves. It works best on smaller swells; larger surf tends to cause the waves to close out or become too challenging. Mid tide is ideal here, as low tide exposes a dangerously shallow reef and high tide can make the waves fat. Being an open reef break, it is exposed to winds, with morning glass or northerly/offshore winds providing the best conditions. Surfers should be cautious of hazards such as sharp reef, sea urchins, and occasional rips. Crowds are moderate due to the spot’s proximity to town.

Chill and mellow beach scene
Located about 10–15 minutes from Kuta by scooter (near the Mandalika area). No boat required – you can park at Seger Beach (small parking fee) and paddle straight out from the shore, crossing a short lagoon or channel.
