Outside Left ("Angry Lady") is an advanced surf break on the outer edge of Gerupuk Bay. It delivers a powerful, shallow A-frame barrel (mainly as a left) that often begins with a steep drop straight into a hollow section. This wave works best on a smaller swell (large swells tend to close it out) and is surfed at mid to high tide to ensure enough water over the reef. Outside Left is highly sensitive to wind and has no channel, so it’s typically tackled only during clean early mornings or on rare days with ideal wind. Strong currents can run when the swell or tide is moving, making the paddle-out challenging. This break is only for confident surfers with excellent duck-diving skills.
