High Waves
Large waves up to 2.3m expected at Nunggalan. Peak conditions around 6:00 AM.
Exercise extreme caution when entering the water. Strong currents and large waves present. Warning valid until 9:00 PM.
Nunggalan is a remote, exposed beachbreak beneath the cliffs south of Uluwatu. It handles southwest Indian Ocean swells and can produce punchy, fast peaks, particularly during Bali’s dry season. The sandy shoreline is backed by steep cliffs, with scattered rocks around parts of the inside and beach ends. It is best suited to confident intermediate and advanced surfers because access is difficult and there is no convenient channel or nearby assistance. Facilities are limited, so surfers should bring water and allow time for the return climb.

Bali
Nyang Nyang is a south-coast Bukit reef with a fast, punchy right-hander that needs a high tide and the rare northerly wind to come good.

Bali
Thomas Beach is a semi-secret, beginner-friendly surf spot on Bali's southern coast featuring mellow reef waves, strong currents, scenic views, and a relaxed atmosphere.
Bali
Nunggalan is usually much quieter than Uluwatu, although it attracts more surfers when nearby reefs are crowded or conditions are favorable.
Remote and rugged
Check the tide and swell before committing to the descent
Carry drinking water because there are few reliable beach facilities
Allow extra time for the steep climb back to the cliff top
Avoid paddling out alone when the swell is large
Respect local surfers and keep clear of crowded peaks
