Bingin is famous for its perfect, barreling lefts breaking over a sharp, shallow reef on the Bukit peninsula. The wave features a tight take-off zone and offers a short but powerful ride, starting with intense tubes followed by a performance wall before closing out on the inside. It works on all tides, though lower tides are best suited for experienced surfers due to the shallow reef. The lineup can get crowded with skilled locals and visitors, especially during peak times. Access involves descending steep cliff paths, passing warungs and surf stays that provide storage and refreshments. The reef is sharp and shallow, so booties are recommended for less experienced surfers. Bingin performs best on a solid southwest swell with light easterly winds.
