High Waves

Exercise extreme caution when entering the water. Strong currents and large waves present. Warning valid until 9:00 PM.
Baby Padang is the smaller inside section of the Padang Padang reef complex on Bali’s Bukit Peninsula. It offers gentler lefts and rights than the main peak, making it approachable for improving beginners and intermediates on smaller swells. The wave is usually best with an incoming to high tide, when more water covers the sharpest coral. Dry-season southwest swells provide the most consistent surf, while easterly winds are commonly offshore. Despite its forgiving shape, the compact takeoff zone becomes crowded with schools, rentals, and inexperienced surfers.
