Capbreton Pointe.

Capbreton Pointe sits at the southern end of the long straight beach that runs between Capbreton town and the mouth of the Adour river. A narrow access road cuts through coastal pine forest before depositing you beside a water treatment plant - not glamorous, but the anonymity keeps numbers manageable. What this stretch offers is a sand-bottom A-frame that fires in both directions when the banks cooperate. The wave is notably hollow and fast for a beachbreak, with well-covered sections that can produce steep takeoffs and bowly, welling walls rather than the fat, slopey peelers found at spots further north. It works across all tidal phases, though the shape is sandbank-dependent and can be inconsistent. Consistency overall is high thanks to exposure to solid NW swells from the Bay of Biscay, needing W to N swell windows to perform at its best, with easterly winds providing clean offshore conditions. Wave faces range from around 0.6m on small days to 3m when a proper Atlantic low rolls through. Despite appearing remote, localism is a real factor here - the vibe in the water can turn quickly, and the surrounding area is known for theft from parked vehicles. The campsite visible on the approach gives the spot its informal name among regulars. Rip currents run through the lineup and sea lice are a seasonal irritant. Rides are generally short, in the 0-50m range, but the hollow shape makes them punchy enough to matter.
