Tucked close to the harbour at Lesconil, a section of uneven reef produces short, hollow lefts that peel fast at low to mid tide, with lesser rights on offer for those willing to read the peak. The wave pitches quickly off shallow sections and bowls through with enough punch to reward precise positioning - short rides under 50m, but intense. The surrounding stretch of coast, shared with Benodet and Beg Meil, is notorious for demanding a precise overlap of south to southwest swell and northerly winds; without both, the area is better suited to windsurfers than wave riders. Mondo confirms the predominantly left-hand character of the break, while Stormrider notes wrapping swell lines and bowly power as defining features. Entry is from the area near the harbour, where the reef is exposed at low water - timing the paddle out to mid tide avoids the most aggressive shallow sections. Because genuine surf conditions are uncommon, crowds are manageable when it does switch on, though the spot's good quality draws dedicated surfers from across the Bigouden peninsula. Nearby alternatives include Pors Carn and La Torche around 12km to the northwest, both more consistent options when swell direction allows.
