Pointe de Lervily.

Pointe de Lervily is a right-hand reef break on the Cap Sizun coast of Brittany, where two distinct rights emerge from the same shallow uneven reef system. The main wave, closest to the Île aux Vaches, fires on solid W or SW swell at size, walling up quickly and running for impressive distances over a reef marked by boils, exposed rocks and sudden depth changes. It is not a barrel - the shape is steep and bowly rather than tubing - but it demands commitment. The wave wells up fast, hits a ledge and races down the line, requiring immediate speed and precise footwork to stay ahead of it. A secondary right breaks inside the bay on smaller days and serves as an indicator. Both waves need genuine swell to activate; they rarely break in marginal conditions. The reef's proximity to the island means SW-to-NW swell windows work, with any northerly component in the wind keeping conditions clean. Mid to high tide is the window - low tide exposes too much reef and kills the shape. Paddle out from the point and read the currents before committing; strong swirling flows exit the bay on all tides and there is no clean channel. The take-off zone is compact, which concentrates the lineup on better days. This is strictly advanced territory: the combination of shallow reef, boils, lurking submerged sections and powerful currents leaves no margin for hesitation or error.
