Lincoln is a sand-bottom beachbreak shaped by the Lincoln groin, with shifting sandbars and peaks breaking both ways. Lefts are generally slightly better, while southeast swells can produce pushy, roping waves peeling from the jetty. It handles roughly waist-high to well-overhead surf, with the best setup coming from east to southeast swells and northerly winds. Low to mid tide is generally favorable, with an incoming tide also working well. The spot suits intermediate and advanced surfers, becoming more demanding when the surf grows.
