Surf spot guide · NYC Tri-State, United States
Groin-organized Long Beach beachbreak offering long lefts and rights on east swells.
Laurelton Blvd is a sand-bottom beachbreak organized by groin diffraction, refraction, and shoaling, producing lefts and rights that can reform into inside shorebreak. East swells and north winds are favored, with mid tide, either rising or falling, typically preferred. It begins working around 0.9-1.5 m and can hold 2.4 m or more; normal rides are 50-150 meters and may reach 150-300 meters on good days. Summer is more consistent, while winter brings stronger swells and fewer surfers. The groins, currents, and larger-wave range make it best suited to intermediate and advanced surfers.
Jetty-shaped a-frames that barrel briefly on the low tide push.
