Atlantique Beach is the Atlantic-facing ocean beach at Atlantique on Fire Island, separate from the bay-side marina beach. It is a shifting beach break influenced by groynes or a jetty, with A-frame peaks and exposure to east through south swells. Northerly winds are generally offshore, and the wave can work through most tide stages. September through November brings stronger swells, mild water, and fewer people. Small, light-wind surf can suit beginners and longboards, while larger winter conditions require more experience.
