16th Ave., Belmar is a sand-bottom beach break with A-frame peaks across from Eastern Lines Surf Shop. It suits beginners on smaller or moderate days, while larger surf can challenge advanced surfers. South to southeast swells, west winds, and low to mid tide offer the most favorable setup. September through March is the strongest seasonal window, although January and February can bring dangerous conditions, cold water, currents, and growing swell. The vibe is generally mellow to moderate but becomes heavier on good summer and fall days.
