Surf spot guide · Southwest Sri Lanka, Sri Lanka
A beginner-friendly reef across from Lazy Left, soft on small swells and rideable for improvers.
This spot, just across the channel from Lazy Left, is great for beginners and improvers on small swells. The wide reef creates soft, gentle take-offs and plenty of whitewash for learning, while intermediates can practice turns on the shoulders. On bigger days, it can offer a short, steep left and a righthander for longer rides. The lineup can get busy with lessons and groups, but the deep sand-covered reef makes it fairly safe. Watch out for murky water near the river after heavy rain.
Wide reef softens the take-off; river mouth clouds it after rain.
