Surf spot guide · Southwest Sri Lanka, Sri Lanka
A slow, forgiving left at Lazy Lefts, ideal for intermediates taking on their first reef.
Not as Lazy the name suggests, you need to be pretty competent to surf here as the take off zone is small and the drop itself is steep. The wave goes fat into the shoulder, but goes on for a couple hundred meters and is great for practicing cutbacks. Lineup Positioning: Sit on the shoulder of the peak. Wave Targeting: Take whatever wave you can. Tips & Progression Focus: Cutbacks, cutbacks, cutbacks.
Steep drop feeds a fat shoulder that stretches two hundred meters for cutbacks.
