Funtão is a named surf break at Praia do Funtão near Lavra. The predominantly right-breaking wave forms over a reef-rocky bottom with sand and rock. It is powerful, starts working below 1 metre, and can hold 2 metres or more. Usual rides run 50-150 metres, with 150-300-metre rides on good days. The break favours mid to high tide and is accessible from the beach.
