Fast, powerful A-frame beachbreak with hollow peaks and a rock-lined right.
Praia Pequena is a fast, powerful sandy beachbreak immediately beside Praia Grande. It produces hollow A-frame peaks breaking both left and right, generally over 50-150 metres. A longer right can run beside the northern rocks when the swell is larger, but this remains part of the beachbreak. The wave works year-round from around 1 metre and can hold at least 2.5 metres. Winter, especially December, usually provides the most consistently clean conditions.
Sandbars shift the peaks daily; locals read currents around submerged rocks.
