The bowly, wrapping shape owes much to cliff backwash amplifying the peaks, particularly on the lefts. It picks up a wide swell window from SW through NW, though it maxes out quickly when size builds beyond 2m - the sweet spot is a clean 1-1.5m NW groundswell at low tide, when the wave gets fast and sectiony rather than closing out. Consistency is high for this stretch of coast, making it a reliable option when spots further south are smaller. The local crew is dedicated and knows these peaks intimately, though the vibe stays relatively welcoming compared to heavier spots nearby.
