Surf spot guide Β· Ericeira, Portugal
Short, hollow right-hand reef wave at the northern end of Foz do Lizandro.
Lage dos Tubos is a short right-hand wave breaking over a flat stone and rock reef at Foz do Lizandroβs northern end. It can offer small tube sections, while larger winter swells may create a heavy outside section and an occasional hollow inside reform. West to northwest swells with easterly winds are preferred, and some north in the swell can lengthen the right. The reef generally works best from mid to high tide, especially high tide, while low tide leaves the take-off too shallow. It suits improving intermediates and advanced surfers rather than true beginners.

Avoid the shallow take-off at low tide.
Check whether sand has accumulated over the reef before paddling out.
Allow for limited space because the take-off zone is small.
Expect the outside section to close out more heavily on larger winter swells.
