Accessible Ericeira reef with a mellow right breaking beside exposed northern rock.
São Sebastião is a paddle-access reef at Praia de São Sebastião, breaking right over shallow rock and sand. The northern right is mellow, with typical waves of 0.5-2 metres and rides of 30-50 metres. It suits beginning intermediates when conditions are manageable and is surfable year-round. The wave works best around low to mid tide, although the very lowest tide exposes more rock. Nearby parking and stairs provide straightforward access from town.
