The Edge Surf Spot Guide — Beira, Portugal

The Edge, also known as Molhe Norte, is a left-hand wave running beside Figueira da Foz’s north breakwater. It breaks over sand and is powerful, fast, fairly hollow, and typically medium in length. West to northwest swells and east or northeast winds are favourable, with low tide offering suitable conditions. The wave is unsuitable for beginners and best approached by intermediate or advanced surfers. Check harbour restrictions and conditions carefully because the entrance and breakwater can become hazardous.
